Dr. Charles Lobeck was raised in Topeka, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2001. After starting his career in advertising and marketing, he decided to pursue his true passion. In 2008, Dr. Lobeck received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Since graduating he has continued to focus specifically on dogs and cats. Dr. Lobeck especially enjoys wellness care and helping new pet parents with their new puppies and kittens.

Dr. Lobeck has practiced in Savannah and Woodstock but has been at Midway Animal Hospital since July of 2011. He enjoyed Alpharetta and the clients and staff at Midway Animal Hospital so much that in 2017, Dr. Lobeck purchased the hospital with Dr. Meredith Stallings-Pavlovsky. He strives daily to uphold the principles that Midway Animal Hospital was founded on over 30 years ago.

Dr. Lobeck and his wife have three children, a dog named Lego and a cat named Batman. When he is not at the hospital, Dr. Lobeck enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Dr. Meredith Stallings-Pavlovsky was born in Kansas and grew up in Blairsville, Georgia where she spent a lot of time outdoors with her siblings. From a young age, she had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes. In high school, her father introduced her to the local veterinarian in Ellijay to collect research information for her science fair project. After she stepped in the door of that veterinary clinic, she knew it was exactly where she belonged. She worked there through high school and the first two years of college. Dr. Pavlovsky received her Bachelors in Science along with her Masters in Art of Teaching from Georgia College and State University. She was accepted to the University of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her doctorate degree with an interest in mixed animal medicine. Dr. Pavlovsky started working at Midway Animal Hospital in 2011. Her goal was to one day own her own clinic. In 2017, she was so thrilled to purchase Midway Animal Hospital with her great friend and colleague, Dr. Charles Lobeck.

Dr. Pavlovsky has many interests within the wide gamut of veterinary medicine but especially enjoys getting to know the patients and clients who come under her care and following them along their journey. She is married and has two daughter. In her free time, she likes staying active, traveling, reading, as well as spending time with her family, friends and pets.

Dr. Kristie Bard was born in Connecticut and, has spent most of the last fifteen years in the Atlanta area. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis. She, her husband and son have several pets which include their dogs, Bella and Thor, plus three cockatiels and several fish.

Dr. Austin Callaway is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2011 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with an emphasis in small animal medicine in 2018. Her areas of interest include critical care medicine and canine/feline heart disease. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs (Gracie and Bear), riding horses, and volunteering in the high school ministry at her church.

Dr. Jessica Robertson grew up in Peachtree Corners, Ga and she also has strong ties to the Midwest. She is a 3rd generation Purdue Boilermaker and got her bachelor’s degree in Biology.  She attended the University of Georgia for her veterinary education and she has worked in general practice, emergency medicine, critical care, and now her focus is advanced veterinary dentistry.  

For more than 15 years, Dr. Robertson has worked in Chicago and in the Metro-Atlanta area as a small animal veterinarian. In addition, she spent 2 years in Madison, Wisconsin where she obtained advanced training in veterinary dentistry under the mentorship of board certified veterinary dentists and board certified veterinary anesthesiologists.  She is more than ready to help your pet maintain a healthy and pain free mouth.  She is passionate about keeping your pet’s oral health at it’s best and feels that treating periodontal disease and oral pain is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.  She is dedicated to providing top notch pain management and safe anesthesia.

Dr. Robertson is an amateur beekeeper and has started gardening in her spare time. She also likes working in her craft room, loving on her bulldogs (Frankie and Tommy) and cats (Lu and Pearl), and spending time with her family that lives nearby.

Eryn Pogue

Dr. Eryn Pogue was born and raised in south Florida. Always an animal lover, her desire to pursue veterinary medicine as a career began when she worked at an animal hospital during high school. She attended college at the University of Florida, where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences. She continued on at UF and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduating, she relocated to the Atlanta area where she did a one year internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital and has been practicing small animal medicine ever since. She enjoys all facets of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in preventative care, internal medicine, and ultrasound. Dr. Pogue lives in Alpharetta with her husband, Brandon (a veterinary cardiologist), daughter Ella, and son Lucas.

After growing up in Kentucky and Texas, Dr. Duval received a bachelor of science degree from Duke University, then graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and stayed on for a year to complete a rotating internship.

She was happy to be able to come back to the south for her surgery residency at the University of Georgia and then accepted a position as a clinical surgery instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, where Dr. Duval was involved with the training of students, interns and residents.

After trying out two private referral practice jobs in Columbia, SC and St. Louis, MO, she and her husband moved to Atlanta in 2000 where they were two of the original specialists at one of the largest veterinary specialty practices in the southeast.

Over 18 years of practice in Atlanta, Dr. Duval was able to gradually adjust her caseload to focus on soft tissue surgery. She also was very active in organizing and participating in the continuing education program at that practice. While enjoying all aspects of soft tissue and oncologic surgery, Dr. Duval has special interest in perineal urethrostomy, portosystemic shunts and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Julie Duval has been married to internist Derek Duval since 1990, and they have two children who are studying at colleges in Georgia. She loves reading, watching college football and basketball (especially the Duke Blue Devils), hiking, travel and photography. She and her husband have two dogs, sheltie Maisie and schipperke Bellatrix, as well as some pets with no fur.
